FrameWorks Training – Nashville
September 27, 2018 @ 9:00 am CDT - 3:30 pm CDT
Do you ever wonder why some people seem to misunderstand the social issues you care most about? Are you wondering how you can develop public will and buy-in to change conditions that lead to poor outcomes for children, young adults, and families?
We have a wonderful opportunity through our Healthy Transitions grant initiative, in partnership with the TDMHSAS Young Adult Leadership Council (YALC) and the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth (TCCY), to host 3 Youth/Young Adult Mental Health Framelabs across the state in September. These Framelabs will provide attendees an opportunity to learn more about research-based framing concepts and how to apply them to their current messaging and engagement strategies. Join the Tennessee Commission for Children and Youth, for an informative, engaging, and practical workshop on how you and your organization can use proven, evidence-based communication strategies to move the needle on the issues you care about.
– Participants will understand what strategic frame analysis is and how it differs from other communication techniques focused social policy
– Participants will understand how to create common, research-based language to move the needle on social issues
– Participants will understand Frameworks methodology and underlying values
– Participants will understand messaging pitfalls and how to avoid them
Meals, snacks, and beverages will not be provided, so please bring your own.
