COVID-19 Office Hours: Peer Support and Self-care

Join us this week for upcoming COVID-19 Office Hour sessions!

During COVID-19, the lived experience and unique skill sets of peer support workers have been critical in supporting outreach and recovery to the most vulnerable. Join us Tuesday, May 5 from 3-4 p.m. ET for our second Office Hour session focused on peer support workers, Leveraging Peer Support Skills in COVID-19. We hope you can join us as we continue the conversation from our previous peer support session and share how you’re engaging and supporting individuals. We also want to hear how we can support and advocate for you and your peer support team to safely engage in the COVID-19 response.

Register Today!   As we continue to navigate our “new normal” and identify ways to care for ourselves and others, it’s time to consider what’s needed to sustain our endurance through this marathon. How can we learn from past traumatic world events to promote resilience through this pandemic? Join usThursday, May 7 from 3-4 p.m. ET for the next COVID-19 Self-care Office Hour session, Engaging the New Normal – Running Your Own Marathon. Different parts of the country are in different phases of this new normal so we will join in a conversation about strategies to support health in yourself and those you serve during this challenging time.   Register Today!   Interested in more? Please hold Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3-4 p.m. ET for Office Hour sessions focused on different topics and how providers are continuing to provide services through this pandemic. Check out National Council’s COVID-19 Resource Page and the Center of Excellence Events Page frequently to learn more and register for upcoming sessions.

This series is supported by the Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions, funded by a grant award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
